From 21 January 2026 the TOEFL iBT reports scores on a new 1–6 band scale (aligned to the CEFR), and the Reading & Listening sections are now multi-stage adaptive. A comparable 0–120 score is still provided during a two-year transition, so the score ranges below remain useful for meeting university requirements.
